Testimonials

Anyone who has doubts whether a white roof coating makes a difference should have been in our building on a 100-degree summer day. Usually, the air conditioner struggles and it gets very hot in the shop. However, with our new white roof from Conklin & Superior Restorations, our air conditioners were cycling and customers and employees were commenting how nice it was in the building.

Roger L

Last fall, we put on our thirteenth Conklin roof since 1983 and all are without a leak. This is a multimillion-dollar development: some of the condominiums sell for over $300,000. We can’t afford leaks. I would recommend this system to anyone with a flat roof that doesn’t want to be bothered with leaks.

Ken H.

Conklin’s spray foam roofing system minimized the messy tear-off and the high cost of material disposal at the local landfill. I’m happy with the successful roofing application and love the idea that I have the best and brightest roof in town

FAQ

How is commercial roof restoration different than commercial roof replacement?

When the original roof is removed labor and materials make commercial roof replacement an expensive project. On the other hand, commercial roof restoration is much more affordable. Not only will the commercial roof restoration process save you time and money, it will also add more life to your existing roof. Plus you get the satisfaction of being more sustainable and not adding more materials to your local landfill. But the truly surprising thing about roof restoration is the tax incentive benefit, as it’s considered a maintenance expense rather than a capital expense.

How much will my new roof cost?

Each situation has its own unique challenges that cause the prices to fluctuate. We compete with all the viable and high performing commercial roofing systems. There are many factors that contribute to the price of your new commercial roof. Some of these factors include:

- The size of your roof
- Condition of the existing roof
- Roof access
- Insulation choice
- Membrane choice
- Installation choice
- Roof penetrations
- Type of Warranty

We can help you create a budget after one of our roofing experts performs a free roof assessment and creates a roof survey report for your facility.

How long can I expect my commercial roof system to last?

The longevity of your commercial is dependent on many factors, from weather conditions to roof type.

There are averages for common roof systems:

-Spray Polyurethane Foam: 30 – 50 Years
-Single-Ply Membrane TPO: 15 – 20 Years
-Single-Ply Membrane EPDM: 20 – 25 Years
-Metal: 30 – 45 Years
-Built-Up: 10 – 15 Years

How long does it take to install a new commercial roof?

The time of the project is dependent on a variety of variables such as the type of roof, the size of the roof,  existing damage, weather, inspections, and permits. Each job is truley unique and could take form a few days to a few weeks. When you talk to a roofing expert for an assessment, they should be able to include a proposed timeline in the survey report.

Can I do the work myself?

It depends. If you are someone who is generally successful with DIY home improvement projects, then you may have the ability to take on a project of this magnitude and importance (for your home’s health). However, if you are someone who is generally NOT successful with DIY home improvement projects, then this is definitely not the time to be bold and “give it a shot.” Your roof is vital to the health of your home’s structure and internal condition. To botch repairs or wing a full replacement can lead to serious damages. Even more, you will end up spending both the time and money in performing the DIY roof project and then spend more time and money later on when you need to hire a professional to do it right.

What if my new roof leaks?

Remain calm. Roof leaks are actually a common occurrence so don’t call your roofing contractor yelling at them or consider your leaking roof as a personal attack on you. Instead, call your roofing contractor and clearly explain the problem. There is no need to exaggerate the leak and, again, it is important to calmly and clearly explain your situation. If you made the right decisions in hiring a professional roofing contractor then you can expect the leak to be fixed. Roofing contractors often provide warranties on their projects and, even if they don’t, most care enough about their reputation to amend the situation and make sure your roof is healthy.
